Healthy Flaxseed Dressing

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons finely ground flax seeds (I prefer golden flaxseeds)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place ground flaxseed in a medium jar or small bowl; add water and shake or stir to combine. Let stand 5 minutes. Add lemon juice and remaining ingredients. Shake well to combine. Store in refrigerator in an airtight container.
