By starting with fluffy Hawaiian sweet rolls you bypass the whole process of needing to make bread dough, work with a yeast mixture, let the dough rise, etc. You simply slice open some Hawaiian roll, fill them with a cinnamon butter mixture and drizzle with a cream cheese glaze.

Description
Transform sweet Hawaiian rolls into Hawaiian Roll Cinnamon Rolls. These are super easy. Coated with a cream cheese frosting, they taste so much like homemade cinnamon rolls.
Ingredients
Rolls
- 6 Hawaiian sweet rolls, uncut (such as King’s Hawaiian Rolls)
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/2 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 Tbsp. vanilla extract
- 2 Tbsp. raisins
Glaze
- 1 oz. cream cheese, at room temperature
- 2 Tbsp. heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
Instructions
- Prepare the Rolls: preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Leaving rolls connected, slice in half across the middle, separating into a top half and a bottom half. Set aside.
- Stir together butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. Spread 1 tablespoon of the cinnamon butter mixture in bottom of a small baking dish or baking pan. Place bottom half of Hawaiian rolls in dish over butter mixture, and spread half of remaining butter mixture over cut side of bottom rolls in dish. Top with raisins and remaining half of rolls (top rolls), cut side down; spread remaining butter mixture evenly over top half of the rolls.
- Bake in preheated oven until hot and toasted golden brown, about 12 minutes. Remove from oven, and let cool on a wire rack 10 minutes.
- While the Rolls cool, prepare the Glaze: stir together cream cheese, whipping cream, and powdered sugar. Drizzle over warm rolls.
