I’ve been cooking professionally for 20+ years, having started my career testing recipes in the test kitchen for Southern Living cookbooks and later, as a food editor for Cooking Light and Weight Watchers Magazines. I am currently a freelance recipe editor for DotDash Meredith, editing for publications and sites including Southern Living, Eating Well, Food and Wine, and more.

This Baking Life is my online recipe collection of what I bake at home for myself, my family, and my friends. It is the sister site of my podcast – This Unmillennial Life.

Here you’ll find a wide variety of baking recipes — from quick breads to bread pudding, cakes to cookies, muffins, and more. In addition to the traditional recipe sub-categories (brownies, cookies, etc.), the site features three main Recipe categories: Everyday Baking, Gluten Free Baking, and Less Sugar Baking.

The recipes here may differ in terms of nutrition, depending on the category you’re browsing. But what they all have in common (in addition to “yum appeal”) is that they’re all easy to bake!
