5 Ingredient No Bake Cheesecake
This delicious and easy 5 Ingredient No-Bake Cheesecake recipe makes a more traditional-looking cheesecake by using a springform pan.

What I love about this recipe for 5 Ingredient No-Bake Cheesecake
I’ve been eating a version of this no-bake cheesecake for years, but it (like most recipes you’ll find online for No Bake Cheesecake) is made in a pre-made pie shell with only 1 block of cream cheese. Honestly, that recipe is more like a pie than it is a cheesecake.
I developed this perfect dessert as an easy recipe to make the most of how helpful a pre-made crust is. By pulsing the crust in the food processor, you easily turn it into a no-bake crust to line a springform pan. I’ve also used more full fat cream cheese (double the amount of most recipes) to yield a thick, rich no-bake cheesecake filling that your whole family will love!
Frequently Asked Questions about 5 Ingredient No-Bake Cheesecake:
How does No-Bake Cheesecake differ from Classic Cheesecake?
Many classic cheesecake recipes (baked cheesecake) call for cooking in a water bath (although my Mocha Cheesecake does not, and it’s amazingly delicious plus super easy) and use a filling that’s a combo of eggs and cream cheese. The step of using a water bath to cook the cheesecake often intimidates unskilled bakers and has them looking for a different recipe. A no-bake cheesecake skips cooking altogether, so no water bath needed.
That said, opting for a no-bake recipe yields a cheesecake with a much different texture. A no-bake cheesecake is much lighter and fluffier, and oftentimes not as rich-tasting. This 5 Ingredient No-Bake Cheesecake is, however, quite rich by using 2 blocks of cream cheese and whole milk lemon Greek yogurt.
Can I substitute whipped heavy cream for the Cool Whip?
I don’t recommend it. Cool whip has stabilizers that help this no-bake cheesecake stand up to removal of the springform, slicing and topping with pie filling, if desired.
Can I use a homemade crust in place of the storebought?
Yes, but if starting from scratch, I would recommend baking the crust for about 10 minutes before topping with the no-bake cheesecake filling.
Can I use fresh berries in place of the pie filling?
Absolutely.

5 Ingredient No Bake Cheesecake
- Total Time: 24 hours 20 minutes
- Yield: 8 servings
Description
Looking for a no-bake cheesecake that looks more like a cheesecake and less like a pie? This is it! This 5 Ingredient No-Bake Cheesecake is made in a springform pan. So easy and delicious!
Ingredients
- 1 (6-oz.) store-bought graham cracker crust*
- 2 (8-oz.) pkg. full-fat cream cheese, at room temperature**
- 1 (5.3-oz.) container whole milk lemon Greek yogurt (such as Chobani)
- 1/2 cup (about 2 oz.) powdered sugar
- 1 (8-oz.) container frozen whipped topping (such as Cool Whip), thawed
- 1 (21-oz.) can cherry pie filling (optional)
Instructions
- Line bottom of the pan of a small (9-inch) springform pan with parchment paper. Pulse pie shell in a food processor until graham cracker crumbs are fine crumbs. Spoon crust crumbs into prepared pan, pressing into bottom firmly; set aside.
- Beat cream cheese, yogurt, and powdered sugar in a large mixing bowl with an electric mixer on low speed until smooth and fluffy texture, 1 to 2 minutes. Fold whipped topping into cream cheese mixture until smooth.
- Using an offset spatula or rubber spatula, spread cheesecake filling evenly into springform pan over crust. Chill, covered with plastic wrap or aluminum foil, in refrigerator until firm, about 24 hours.
- Remove chilled cheesecake from refrigerator, and carefully run a small pairing knife or offset spatula around outer edge of cheesecake to ensure cheesecake has been fully loosened from sides of pan. Remove ring from springform pan.
- Slice, and top with cherry pie filling, if desired.
Notes
*I prefer the classic buttery graham cracker crust here, but you could also use a store-bought crust made of Oreo cookies.
**It’s very important that you use room-temperature cream cheese. Otherwise, when you go to mix the filling, you’ll end up with a not-smooth cream cheese filling with horrible lumps of cream cheese throughout the cheesecake.
