Description

These 5 Ingredient Flourless Brownies are a simple way to stir up a pan full of very rich, fudgy brownies.


Ingredients

BROWNIES

  • 3/4 cup (6 oz.) salted butter, sliced
  • 6 oz. unsweetened chocolate, broken into pieces (such as Baker’s chocolate bar)
  • 4 large whole eggs*
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • Pinch of salt (optional)
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

GLAZE (optional)

  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 Tbsp. heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Brownies: preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line bottom of an 8-inch square baking pan with with parchment paper, leaving a 2-inch overhang on 2 sides. Coat bottom with cooking spray.
  2. Place butter and 6 oz. chopped chocolate in a microwave-safe large bowl. Microwave on HIGH in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval, until mixture is melted and smooth, 2 to 3 minutes. Let cool slightly, about 5 minutes.
  3. Whisk together eggs, sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl until well combined. Slowly pour melted chocolate mixture into egg mixture, whisking constantly until smooth. Add cocoa; whisk until combined. Pour brownie batter into prepared pan.
  4. Bake brownies in preheated oven until middle of the brownies is set, about 30 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, if desired, prepare the Glaze using remaining ingredients: place chocolate chips and cream in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH 30-seconds, stirring until mixture is melted and smooth.
  6. Remove brownies from oven. Carefully pour melted chocolate over top of brownies and smooth to edges. Let brownies cool completely in pan, about 2 hours. Carefully lift out whole pan of brownies using parchment paper overhang before cutting. Store leftover brownies in an airtight container.

*For best results, start with eggs at room temperature.
